EventBots was invited to capture exciting moments from the 2011 Bootstrap Awards and Adawe Tradeshow. Some of the region’s hottest entrepreneurs shared startup secrets, experiences and hopes with Jennifer Clark via VideoBot. This is a great example of using the VideoBot at an awards show!

On February 12, 2010, a number of Ottawa companies were celebrated for having bootstrapped themselves to success – EventBots among them. We were thrilled to be included as the silver winner for Best New Micro Business of the Year, as we were in truly great company. Also included in this post is a full list of this year’s winners with links to their websites. I encourage you to check out these great companies being built in our backyard!
Want to leverage video for your online channel? This post is about making your people the face of your organization online by engaging them in some video, and creating a great message out of what they have in common – your group or cause. Inspired by recent events, reactions, and recollections of similar campaigns.

Fashion CURES à la mode is a brand new phenomenon to hit Ottawa on November 4-7 to raise awareness and funds for ovarian cancer research while celebrating Canadian designers. It’s also an opportunity for everyone to be part of Canada’s fashion scene. I attended the media launch for this event and eavesdropped on Ming Wu’s interview with Samantha of Starfish Creative Events to learn more.
This post is a quick thank you (the first of many I’m sure) to people of all shapes and colours who are involved in Ottawa’s vibrant social media scene. You’ve really been great friends to EventBots over the past year and a half. Some of our greatest moments have been thanks to you.
Sourcing video messages from a crowd of people with VideoBot can be supremely fascinating. It’s a little like crowdsourcing, you never know what you’re going to get, but often, it’s something cool. This post talks open source, shoes and eyeborgs.
EventBots is proud to sponsor the 21st Annual Iams Ottawa Humane Society Wiggle Waggle Walkathon this year, taking place on Sunday, September 13, 2009. We’re very excited to be on-site with VideoBot to capture important stories from participants and their furry (and non-furry) friends.
